MLK Day Special Event with WonderLab: Science Explorations

Event Details

Learn how to conduct at-home chemistry experiments! Download a materials list and instructions from WonderLab.org or use materials from the Free Safe at Home Chemistry Kits. Each kit includes materials for writing secret messages and growing crystals, and an introduction to four notable Black chemists. Kits are not necessary to attend the program. Activities are geared toward children ages 6–12, but all are welcome. Please register on the WonderLab website to attend.

Kits are available to pick up at WonderLab (308 W. Fourth Street), the Main Library (303 E. Kirkwood Avenue), and the Ellettsville Branch Library (600 W. Temperance Street) the following dates and times:
 
January 13: WonderLab (9–10:15 AM; 11 AM–12:15 PM); the Main Library parking lot entrance (11AM–7 PM); Ellettsville Branch Library entryway (11 AM–7 PM)

January 14: WonderLab (10 AM–12:30 PM; 1:30–4 PM); the Main Library parking lot entrance (11AM–7 PM); Ellettsville Branch Library entryway (11 AM–7 PM)
