Event Details

Join local poet Saami Ghaus for a series of creative writing workshops celebrating NaNoWriMo! We'll draw, play games, and write together as we dive into the magic of crafting stories and poems. No prior experience is necessary! Masks are required. Ages 9–12. Please register.

November 3: Writing With Place –– We'll practice deep listening and noticing of where we are in the world, and translate our awareness into poems together.

November 10: Exploring Character –– We'll practice dreaming up the humans (and non-humans) who populate our stories and poems, and try new strategies to breathe life into their personalities and relationships.

November 17: Writing as Artifact –– We'll bring our work into the world around us by crafting our writing into beautiful physical objects to share with our communities.
