Calling all youth artists! For Youth Art Month, we're challenging you to create and submit an original 2D work of art based on the theme of our upcoming Summer Reading Program: space! For this theme, draw your favorite planet or space-themed item—you can even make up your own.

Join in the fun with stories, songs, puppets, and more that encourage the development of early literacy skills. Ages 3–6.

New English speakers will practice everyday language skills in a relaxed, informal atmosphere. Learners will enjoy friendly conversation, learn about daily life in the U.S., gain confidence, and meet new people from around the world. 

Calling all elementary-aged homeschoolers—it's recess time! Come to the Downtown Library to play a variety of games and hang out with other homeschoolers. Ages 6–12.

Discover more at the Library! Following each Preschool Storytime, join us for a fun craft experience. We may also enjoy a math or science activity, or an activity designed to explore the alphabet! Each week, we'll experiment with different materials and techniques. Dress to mess. Ages 3–6.

Join us a we prepare to enter Shadow Deep! During this session, players can assemble a fully custom miniature for the Rangers of Shadow Deep program, a D&D-like wargame. No experience required. This is our first miniature making session and everyone who wants to participate in Shadow Deep is encouraged to attend! Please register individually. Ages 12–19.

Bring the whole family to the Downtown Library for a night of board game fun! Learn how to play a new game from MCPL staff members and local toy shop partner, Mairzy Doats, or choose to play at your own pace with a favorite from the Library's growing board game collection! All ages.

Prenatal yoga is a gentle exercise that supports your changing body's needs, builds strength, and deepens awareness of your mind, body, and connection with your baby. Age 18 and up.
