The winning artwork will be made into a collectible summer reading prize bookmark. Entries should be 3x7 inches. Starting March 1, you can stop by any MCPL location to grab a template. When you're finished, drop your entry off at any MCPL location by March 31 to enter.
Make sure your entry has the following information written legibly on the back: name, age, title of your artwork, MCPL location that you regularly visit, and contact information (including email address and/or telephone number). Ages birth–12.
Spring Seed Swap
Saturday, March 16, 2024
11:00 AM - 1:00 PM
Bring your vegetable and flower seeds to exchange with other community members and help the gardens of Monroe County grow! The Downtown Library and Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard will also have free seeds available. Any seeds left over from the Swap will be donated to the participating seed libraries so that they're still available for the community.
When donating seeds, please make sure your seeds are not from invasive plants and note the following:
- The type and variety of seed
- The year the seeds are from
- Whether the seeds are store-bought or self-saved
We ask that you please package your seeds accordingly; we will have tools and supplies on-hand. All ages.
This program is in partnership with Mother Hubbard's Cupboard.
