Cardinal Stage Presents Family Photo Challenge: Beauty and the Beast

Imagine Your Story with Cardinal Stage! Re-create the classic folktale of Beauty and the Beast using only 10 original photos. Get creative with costumes, locations and props, and share your story on social media for a chance to win a $50 gift card from Hopscotch Coffee. Post your photo story by September 30 on Instagram or Facebook to enter to win. To qualify, you MUST tag Cardinal Stage (@cardinalstage) and use the hashtag #cardinalchallenge. At the beginning of the following month, Cardinal will announce the winner and post the winning story! BloomingSongs: World Music with Local Artists

Join local artists in this free, interactive program, featuring music from around the world! We'll sing a Russian birthday song, dance a brand new tango, harmonize with Korea's beloved "Arirang," gather to an Arabic song of salutations, and rock to a beautiful Kenyan melody. BloomingSongs director, Maggie Olivo, will lead participants through interactive video performances with artists: Natalie Lunts, Aaron Travers, Winnie Cheung, Ben Bogart, Grace Na, Sunny Jung, Dena El Saffar and Tim Moore, Sylvester Makobi and Jamaal Baptiste. Participants can receive a free BloomingSongs' "Building Blocks" CD, available for pick up at the library. Geared to young audiences, all ages welcome!
