Reimagining Opera for Kids: Ana y Su Sombra

4:00 PM - 5:00 PM
Reimagining Opera for Kids Presents: Ana y Su Sombra
All Branches
Celebrate Latinx Heritage Month with the story of Ana y Su Sombra. Out of terrible homesickness for Mexico, Ana, the daughter of diplomats, hides herself away. However, her shadow wants to explore and participate in the world where they are living. The two part ways over this disagreement, and ultimately discover whether they can live separately, or must reconcile. Sung in Spanish, with English subtitles, the opera is appropriate for young children with their caregivers. About 30-minutes long, the opera will be presented as a pre-recorded video with time afterward to ask questions and talk about the opera. All ages. A partnership between Reimagining Opera for Kids and the Library.
