Learn about the importance of reading aloud to young children and help beginner readers find and practice reading books that build independent reading skills. Reading to an animal can help a reluctant, new, or struggling reader build confidence and self-esteem. Miss Amy will read a page from her favorite beginner reader to her cats, then invite your child to take their turn to read to the cats. Questions? Email Miss Amy at acaswell@mcpl.info. All ages.
