Imagine Your Story with Cardinal Stage! Re-create the classic folktale of Cinderella using only 10 original photos. Get creative with costumes, locations and props, and share your story on social media for a chance to win a $75 gift card from Crumble Coffee & Bakery. Post your photo story by November 1 on Instagram or Facebook to enter to win. To qualify, you MUST tag Cardinal Stage (@cardinalstage) and use the hashtag #cardinalchallenge. (Remember to make your post public so Cardinal can view it.) At the beginning of the following month, Cardinal will announce the winner and post the winning story! Bike buckets are durable, weatherproof panniers made from repurposed materials. Learn how to make your own customized bucket to keep your stuff intact while riding throughout the seasons! Participants will need a bicycle with an attached rear bike rack to complete the project. Please register to receive a kit with the necessary hardware and supplies––you will be contacted by staff with information about how to pick it up. Contact mwilder@mcpl.info with questions. Supporting Developing Readers: A Bloomington Montessori Parenting Workshop

Are you supporting someone learning to read at home? Join Bloomington Montessori staff for a one-hour presentation on the development of reading, followed by an opportunity for questions and answers. Presenters will break reading down into several skill sets and discuss ways to support children and monitor progress in areas such as phonemic awareness, decoding, comprehension, and more. Primary focus will be for children in grades K though 6. This workshop will be presented via Zoom and recorded by Bloomington Montessori staff. Participants are welcome to keep their video off during the workshop. For parents and caregivers.
