Everyone Has a Story Reading Challenge

Wednesday, March 31, 2021
Everyone Has a Story Reading Challenge
All Branches
Stories provide insight. Whether it's a personal narrative, description of cultural heritage, or an imagined fantasy, an individual's story provides insights into who they are and what shapes and inspires them. Shared stories help us see what makes us unique and how we are the same. By reading or listening to an individual's story, we can learn to treat people with the respect and dignity they deserve no matter their race, color, gender, religion, ability, or level of income. Discover different stories, learn about people seeking to eliminate social injustices, and find resources for discussing issues about race. All ages.

Find out more about participating with a Beanstack account at mcpl.info/everystory.

Join WonderLab educators and Monroe County Public Library librarians for story reading and science activities. After the second story, we will look at our own skin and, using Venn diagrams, the groups we are in. Science Storytime allows young scientists to develop literacy and STEM skills as well as build vocabulary by actively participating in the program.
