D&D Library Talk is our podcast on the ins and outs of RPG systems, like Dungeons and Dragons! We talk about how to make sure everyone enjoys the game, whether as a player or game master. Episode six focuses on different sources of inspiration for a D&D game, with an emphasis on free resources available at the library or online. We also briefly share our personal favorite sources of inspiration.

All-Ages Summer Reading Program: Tails and Tales

Read for fun, complete activities, and earn tickets towards prize drawings! Our summer reading games are a fun and free way to engage all age groups in exploring new ideas, books, and activities. Register online and between June 1 and August 1, you can earn points for every 30 minutes you spend reading and for trying different activities. At different point levels, you become eligible to earn badges and prizes.

Register and learn more about the various categories and prizes for children (ages birth–12), teens (ages 12–19), and adults (age 18 and up).

There will be a community-wide reading goal of 1,000,000 minutes, resulting in a $1,000 donation from the Friends of the Library to Monroe County Humane Association!

8-Bit Cross Stitch, Mario Edition: A Take and Make Kids Program

Interested in expanding your Mario fun into the real world? Learn how to cross-stitch while we answer questions like "What are pixels?", "What is 8 bit?", and "Why do some games look so blocky?" Ages 7–12. Please register each child individually. A confirmation email will be sent to you with the Zoom link, and a link to sign up for a date/location to pick up the kit associated with the program between May 28–June 11.
