Read for fun, complete activities, and earn tickets towards prize drawings! Our summer reading games are a fun and free way to engage all age groups in exploring new ideas, books, and activities. Register online and between June 1 and August 1, you can earn points for every 30 minutes you spend reading and for trying different activities. At different point levels, you become eligible to earn badges and prizes.

Register and learn more about the various categories and prizes for children (ages birth–12), teens (ages 12–19), and adults (age 18 and up).

There will be a community-wide reading goal of 1,000,000 minutes, resulting in a $1,000 donation from the Friends of the Library to Monroe County Humane Association!

Shooting Stars Storytime: A Take and Make Kids Program

Celebrate "Tails and Tales" Summer Reading Games with a different kind of tail––the tail of a shooting star! Listen to the traditional Navajo legend, How the Stars Fell into the Sky, then make your own shooting stars! Ages 3–6 with families (adult help required). Please register each child separately. A link to the Zoom program will be emailed to you upon registration. Registrants will need to pick up their kits between July 2–16.
