All-Ages Summer Reading Program: Tails and Tales

Read for fun, complete activities, and earn tickets towards prize drawings! Our summer reading games are a fun and free way to engage all age groups in exploring new ideas, books, and activities. Register online and between June 1 and August 1, you can earn points for every 30 minutes you spend reading and for trying different activities. At different point levels, you become eligible to earn badges and prizes.

Register and learn more about the various categories and prizes for children (ages birth–12), teens (ages 12–19), and adults (age 18 and up).

There will be a community-wide reading goal of 1,000,000 minutes, resulting in a $1,000 donation from the Friends of the Library to Monroe County Humane Association!

Join us for a drop-in celebration of the 31st anniversary of the signing of the Americans with Disabilities Act. Together with the Council for Community Accessibility, Stone Belt, the Indiana Institute on Disability and Community, and the local chapters of the American Council of the Blind and the National Alliance on Mental Illness, the Library will host fun activities for all ages to share insights and understanding of how disability affects so many of us. Participate in activities and win a free cookie! All ages. This event will be outside on the Main Library Kirkwood Plaza with the rain location in Meeting Rooms 1B and 1C.
