The first book to be deemed a picture book was Millions of Cats by Wanda Gag in 1928. Since then, some of the greatest illustrators have created picture books loved by children and adults alike. In this talk, librarian Dana Duffy will explore what components make up this unique book format, and look at how the exhibit artists fit within the history.

With funding from a generous bequest from Marian Armstrong, the Friends of the Library in partnership with Monroe County Public Library hosts a special exhibit in the Library: Our Voice: Celebrating the Coretta Scott King Illustrator Award.
