Join Girls Rock Bloomington for four hands-on music-related workshops geared towards girls, trans, and non-binary youth ages 8–12. No experience is necessary. Registration is required for each program, but no need to participate in all. 

March 7: Instrument Lab, Part 1: Come explore a variety of instruments, all set up and ready for you to play! 
March 21: Instrument Lab, Part 2: We'll continue our exploration of instruments by adding pedals and other special effects. 
March 28: Songwriting Workshop––Dig into the basics of songwriting in a collaborative, supportive environment. 
April 4: Song Recording––Grace Leckey from the Jacobs School of Music will teach us about audio recording techniques.

Learn Chinese language and culture through interactive games, songs, and activities that help children develop general literacy skills, too! These interactive lessons are presented by certified instructors with Bridges, a project of the IU School of Global and International Studies, and the IU School of Education. The class will not meet on March 19. For children in kindergarten–sixth grade. Please register.

Food, kitchen projects, and conversation are fueled by a good read in this unique book club! This month, we'll make kitchen pickles and explore Relish, a graphic novel by Lucy Knisley! In this forthright, thoughtful, and funny memoir, Lucy traces key episodes in her life thus far, framed by what she was eating at the time and lessons learned about food, cooking, and life. 

All supplies are provided, and books can be checked out from the Library or Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard. For all ages. Projects will be made in small groups or as individuals, please register once per group.
