For Black History Month, play a game of bingo that facilitates discussions about race and offers opportunities to learn about Black visionaries, leaders, and artists. Just turn it in to an MCPL staff member at the Downtown Library, Ellettsville Branch, or Bookmobile. All ages.

New English speakers will practice everyday language skills in a relaxed, informal atmosphere. Learners will enjoy friendly conversation, learn about daily life in the U.S., gain confidence, and meet new people from around the world. 

AARP tax volunteers will be at the Downtown Library February 6–April 14 on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays. Assistance will be available on a first come, first served basis using a sign-up sheet that will be located near the second floor information desk.

Drop by The Ground Floor Study Room to get some homework help during these free, in-person sessions held every Friday. Ages 12–19.

Join us for a cozy evening of stories presented by members of the Bloomington Storytellers Guild. A variety of stories will be shared—humor, mystery, romance, folktales, and original stories may be in the lineup. Age 12 and up.
