Calling all youth artists! For Youth Art Month, we're challenging you to create and submit an original 2D work of art based on the theme of our upcoming summer reading program: Camp Myth! For this theme, draw your favorite mythical beast or hero. You can even make up your own!

New English speakers will practice everyday language skills in a relaxed, informal atmosphere. Learners will enjoy friendly conversation, learn about daily life in the US, gain confidence, and meet new people from around the world. 

AARP tax volunteers will be at the Downtown Library February 6–April 14 on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays. Assistance will be available on a first come, first served basis using a sign-up sheet that will be located near the second floor information desk.

Come try a new skill and learn some basic doodling techniques! We'll provide paper, pencils, reference materials, and the space to work on some simple still life doodles. Ages 12–19.

Are you a teen artist looking to connect with your community? Join us to show off your work, chat with fellow artists, and do some crafts. This month, we'll be making fairy light mushroom sculptures. Ages 12–19.

Drop by The Ground Floor Study Room to get some homework help during these free, in-person sessions held every Monday and Wednesday. Ages 12–19.

A book club for mystery and true crime readers! Join us to discuss what you're reading, share recommendations, and get the scoop on the latest mystery and true crime additions to the MCPL collection. There is no assigned reading for this group. Age 18 and up. Please register.
