Tomb of the Dusk Queen: An Old School Essentials RPG Adventure Kit

Beneath a colossal tree of golden leaves lies a maze of root-choked catacombs. It is in these catacombs that the Dusk Queen of legend is entombed with her royal treasures. However, deathless guardians and devious tricks await any who would intrude on her sleep...

This module includes a fully written adventure using the Old School Essentials rule system, some MCPL 3D printed miniatures, custom MCPL dice, and gameplay rules to play with your friends! Limited quantities available. Ages 12–19. Please register and choose your desired Library pickup location; your kit will be ready 48 hours after you receive email confirmation of your registration.

Featuring Janet Leigh, Ed Sullivan, Dick Van Dyke in his breakout role, and superstar Ann-Margaret, this is the story of a lucky high school girl chosen to give singer Conrad Birdie his last kiss before being drafted. Will we sing? Will we dance? We'll certainly enjoy the show! While this program is especially designed for people living with dementia and their caregivers, everyone is welcome to attend. New English speakers will practice everyday language skills in a relaxed, informal atmosphere. Learners will enjoy friendly conversation, learn about daily life in the U.S., gain confidence, and meet new people from around the world. 

Intermediate English skills are suggested. If you do not speak English, please fill out the VITAL Services form to learn about programs for beginners. Conversation Groups are drop-in and no registration is needed.

Festival of Ghost Stories

A Halloween tradition for over 45 years, the Festival of Ghost Stories features haunting tales of ghosts and horror that tingle the spine. The program will be held on the west side of Bryan Park (1001 S. Henderson Street, Bloomington). 

In case of inclement weather, it will be held at the Downtown Library Auditorium. The Kirkwood Ave entrance will open at 6:30 PM, and the show will be live-streamed on the CATS TV website. Age 12 and up. 

This program is in partnership with the City of Bloomington and the Bloomington Storytellers Guild.
