The Great MCPL Kids Bake Off: Fall Colors Edition

All Day
All Branches
It’s harvest time for the Great MCPL Kids Bake Off! For this autumn-themed challenge, bakers will “squash” their competition to create a show-stopping treat with a special mystery ingredient!

First, register starting November 1 and pick up your kit from your desired MCPL location. Then, pick an autumn-inspired dessert to create, but make sure to include the mystery ingredient or you won’t be our Star Baker! Finally, share a picture of your creation to KidsBakeOff@mcpl.info by November 22. The baker with the most scrumptious-looking and creative dish will win a gift card to a local bakery!

Need some baking equipment? Try one of the baking kits from our Library of Things! Searching for inspiration? Check out some of our kid-friendly cookbooks and ebooks! If you're unable to eat the mystery ingredient due to dietary restrictions, you are welcome to substitute something similar.

Ages 7–12. If you use social media, make sure to tag @MCPLIndiana and use the hashtag #MCPLBakeOff.
