New English speakers will practice everyday language skills in a relaxed, informal atmosphere. Learners will enjoy friendly conversation, learn about daily life in the U.S., gain confidence, and meet new people from around the world. 

Join in the fun with stories, songs, puppets, and more that encourage the development of early literacy skills. Activities will be followed by a craft, so dress to mess! Ages 3–6.

Are you interested in converting your old home movie recordings, printed photographs, or slides into a digital format you can share online? Preserving your memories, archiving, and sharing them can be a powerful way to connect with friends and family. In this open house, we'll teach you how to create digital files using our new Memory Preservation Station. You can use a cloud storage account like Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, or Dropbox to save your content. Another option is to use a USB flash drive––you can bring your own or check one out from the Library for temporary use. Age 18 and up.

Love board games but looking to branch out? Try out a new one every month with our Board Game Club! Ages 12–19.

Drop in, adventure through fantastic realms, then leave whenever you'd like. These sessions of Dungeons & Dragons are designed to be short, fun, and evolving adventures that anyone can play. All skill levels are welcome. Ages 12–19.

Dine Out for the Library at Samira! Enjoy a delicious dinner from 5–9 PM on Tuesdays, November 7 and 21, and Wednesdays, November 8 and 22. Samira started their family business in 1998 with one goal in mind: providing an enjoyable dining experience to the Bloomington community through dishes that are fresh, filling, and simply unforgettable. Celebrate the flavors! Samira serves a variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian entrées made from scratch. Just show your flyer or mention you're dining out for the Library, and Samira will donate 20% of your tab to help make all of our amazing programs possible.
