Dine Out for the Library with Muddy Fork Farm & Bakery on December 2, 9, and 16. Place your order online by Wednesday of each week for Saturday pickup at numerous locations. Input the coupon code “LIBRARY” with your online order, and Muddy Fork will donate 50% of your purchase to the Friends of the Library to help make all of our amazing Library programs possible.
You can also show your flyer when you visit the Winter Farmers’ Market at the Switchyard Park Pavilion from 9 AM–12:30 PM on December 2, 9, and 16. Delivery is also available with a $25 minimum order. Muddy Fork is home to Indiana’s only wood-fired brick oven bakery, where they make sourdough and whole grain breads, as well as stellar pastries. Stock up for holiday entertaining and gift giving.
Looking for something creative to do for the holiday season? Knit or crochet a hat or scarf for a cause! Drop in to see what yarn and knit/crochet supplies are available—first come, first served. There will also be resources available to find a pattern that's right for you. Once you finish your pattern, items can be donated to Beacon by dropping them off at the Downtown Library. All ages.
Please note: Supplies for one project per patron, no guarantees on availability, and the program will close once supplies are gone. All levels of knitters and crocheters are welcome, but this is not a class.
The Library and Tandem Community Birth Center are proud to host a community toy swap at the Downtown Library! Donate any toy(s) in good condition to the Downtown Children's Department from Saturday, November 25 to Friday, December 1 to receive first access to the toy swap. Return to the Downtown Library on Saturday, December 2 to shop for new (to you) toys! All ages.
First access: 12–2 PM
Open to all: 2–4 PM
This program is in partnership with Tandem Birthing Center.
