New English speakers will practice everyday language skills in a relaxed, informal atmosphere. Learners will enjoy friendly conversation, learn about daily life in the U.S., gain confidence, and meet new people from around the world. 

Join in the fun with stories, songs, puppets, and more that encourage the development of early literacy skills. Activities will be followed by a craft, so dress to mess! Ages 3–6.

Are you interested in converting your old home movie recordings, printed photographs, or slides into a digital format you can share online? Preserving your memories, archiving, and sharing them can be a powerful way to connect with friends and family. In this open house, we'll teach you how to create digital files using our new Memory Preservation Station. You can use a cloud storage account like Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, or Dropbox to save your content. Another option is to use a USB flash drive––you can bring your own or check one out from the Library for temporary use. Age 18 and up.

Dive into a new craft project each month with other art lovers! This month, we'll be making DIY magnets. Ages 12–19.

Whether you give them away or keep for yourself, cookie jars are a fun way to learn counting, measuring, and more. Don't worry, though, we'll also make the cookies from the recipe in real time so that we can taste the delicious goodness! All attendees must sign a waiver; you can download and sign it prior to the program, or you can sign one of the copies we'll have on-site. Ages 4–7. Please register.

Bring your current art project and hang out with other teen artists! We'll chat about your art and inspirations, provide feedback, and snack on Baked! cookies. Ages 12–19.

Celebrate Computer Science Education Week with coding activities that don't require a computer! Solve puzzles, make crafts, and play games all while learning fundamental coding concepts. Ages 7–12.

Have you ever wanted to bring a favorite character to life? Get the materials and instruction you need to take your cosplay to the next level. This month, we'll be making and bedazzling winter-themed crowns. All supplies will be provided. Ages 12–19.

Join us this month as we return to alcohol inks! We'll be creating buttons, magnets, and cards for you to enjoy or use as holiday gifts. Age 16 and up. Please register.
