New English speakers will practice everyday language skills in a relaxed, informal atmosphere. Learners will enjoy friendly conversation, learn about daily life in the U.S., gain confidence, and meet new people from around the world.

Learn to Write Sword & Sorcery Fiction

Sword and sorcery is a subgenre of fantasy that focuses on high action, forbidden magic, and lost worlds. Sword and sorcery fiction has produced some of fantasy's most iconic heroes, such as Conan the Barbarian, and inspired popular games like Dungeons & Dragons. In this workshop, you'll learn about the elements and plot structure of sword and sorcery stories. Combining lecture and activities, you'll leave this workshop with an outline for a sword and sorcery tale of your own! Beginning writers are welcome. Ages 12–19. Please register.

Paint and Sip: Vincent van Gopher

In this guided painting session, we'll work step-by-step to paint a cute gopher in the style of Vincent van Gogh. Juice boxes will be included for a fun experience. Please note: While we'll aim to finish by 2:30 PM, some participants may need to work until 3 PM to complete their art. Ages 8–12. Please register.
