THIS PROGRAM HAS BEEN CANCELED.

Housing thousands of military and civil service records, the National Archives at St. Louis is a treasure trove for genealogists. Bryan McGraw, Access Coordinator at the Archives, presents an overview of its holdings, and takes you through the steps of accessing its records—online and via other methods. Please register.

More information:
The National Archives at St. Louis contain thousands of military records beginning with the World War I era. It also contains many records from the CCC, the WPA, and the Civil Service Agency. This is a treasure trove for genealogists. Bryan will lead us through the steps to gain access to these records. He will also dispel the story that all records were destroyed in a massive fire in the 1970's. He will also share with us what records might be online and what are not currently available through the computer. Bryan will spend the day in Bloomington, so feel free to bring questions about the Archives and researching their records.
